Ate a late lunch here on a late September day - great food (had a soup and sandwich - half) and people watching (corner location). Good parking - definite local vibe ....

Stopped here for some water and a piece of pie.

Small town cafe with friendly service. We ate here two mornings in a row on a weekend and each day the place was full. The portions are large and you could easily split the omelette and cinnamon roll.

Great small diner! I had the chicken fried steak there which was crispy and rich. The gravy was tasty and it came with a delicious buttery biscuit. My wife had a vegetable hash which she loved. Servings are huge and great after spending some time up in the eagle cap area. High recommendation.

Great breakfast and service

We were so happy that Cheyenne was open during lockdown! The cinnamon roll was so tasty and we got French toast and biscuits and gravy, too! All delicious. Come support this local spot that is doing takeout for breakfast and dinner !

Had a Denver style omlet, good flavor but would have been better if the ham an veggies were not tiny cubes requiring a spoon to eat it.

They have food here, as well as most of the local senior population. Exactly what you might expect at a small local cafe. Fair prices, no frills

Only place in Joseph that opens early (6am) so my friend and I went here. Everything looked good on the menu so we shared an order of biscuits and gravy, then I got a scramble and my friend got a traditional breakfast. The service was fast, delicious, and well priced. The waitress was really nice and friendly.

Went here for lunch and returned for breakfast the next morning. Excellent food! Small town atmosphere. When we went their card machine was down which wasn’t a problem for us, but might be for some.

Every breakfast has generous portions and their bacon is to die for.

Great food and nice people. Don't go there if you're a Democrat, you might get triggered. Its definitely a locals type place so don't act like a jerky tourist and get impatient. HUGE PORTIONS!!!

Solid breakfast place on Main St in a place that looked like mostly locals. Generous portion sizes. Good prices. The interior stands out a bit among the town's more progressive and newer restaurants, but it was comfortable.

The Cheyenne Cafe has great food, and great friendly service at reasonable prices. I eat there every chance I get.

In a very tourist oriented town, Cheyenne Cafe feels very local and welcoming. Their BLT was perfectly executed, with the toasting of the bread being a highlight for me. A half sandwich and soup made for a very satisfying lunch for my wife. I would happily return here.

We went here after a heavy physical activity with so much hunger. Added to that I am a vegetarian.. found this place finally and wow worth waiting so long for food.. fries and burger was delicious.. pancakes and maple syrup is the show stealer.. highly recommended 😍

Really great homemade food. Breakfast by far is the best you can find with huge portions and great prices. Friendly and fun place to go too.

The people here are truly amazing, the best coffee I've ever had on a cold September morning. I felt like I was in a home, vs a cafe. If I ever return to Joseph, this will be my first stop.

Amazing home cooked food! They can get busy, and sometimes the wait is longer than other places, but it's definitely worth it. Omelets are awesome, chicken fried steak, biscuits are out of this world! Highly recommend for breakfast!

Always our place to stop when we go to Lake Wallowa ..... Great customer service.... but remember lots of food so be careful... we will do half orders next time....lol

The food here is sooo good!! This is a family owned place and the service reflects that. You feel like you are eating at someone's house and not just another restaurant. Wonderful little stop if you are in the area. Did I mention the food was amazing 😁

My son and I were in town for a rafting trip and needed a quick breakfast before we headed up into the mountains for the day. I told the guy behind the counter that I hoped we could get something in a hurry, and he came up with some delicious, generous ham, cheese and egg sandwiches in about 5 minutes. Really good. Interesting local crowd too.
